Hey, welcome back to my capstone journey, It's crazy to think that we are almost halfway through the semester, but we are! time has really flown by. Instead of updating you on my project, I wanted to write this post about my friend Sydney Kunz’s project “Nucleus”.

Sydney describes her project as a,

“co-working space that provides a flexible working experience, a sense of community, and support for professional development through mentorship and skill-share classes.”

She can definitely explain her project better than I ever could, so I highly recommend that you check out her blog post “Capstone: Project Brief” so you can learn more about this really cool concept.

I think everyone in my small but mighty class is doing a phenomenal job, but the reason I am especially excited about Sydney's project is that she has chosen a project that never would have thought of, but after we had a sudden boom in remote work opportunities, it makes so much sense.

I think this is a great project for her because Sydney had the opportunity to participate in a remote internship this past summer. I would have to assume that she was not the biggest fan of having to work from home, so she created this brand to help those who were in a similar situation as her. On top of that, I think a project like this will give her a chance to show off her excellent abilities in UX/UI design, Type setting, package design, and much more.

After seeing Sydney's first iterations of her mobile website mockup, I think she is already off on the right food. She has created a strong logo and a very user-friendly website that starts to explain the overall vibe of her project. As she moves forward I think she should not be afraid to move away from the typical corporate office norms as she works with different colors, type choices, and iconography.

Once again I'm really excited to see how her project unfolds because I know she's going to kill it! Be sure to keep up with Sydney and I’s blog posts so you never miss an update on our projects.
